Calvary Baptist Church was founded in 1959 under the leadership of Wm. K. McComas. Dr. McComas served as pastor until the Fall of 1976. In 1976 Dr. Ralph Wingate Sr. became pastor and served until October of 1979. In December 1979 Dr. Jerry Burton was called to pastor the church and serves as pastor at the present time. Calvary is an independent Baptist Church associated with the Baptist Bible Fellowship, Springfield, MO.
