Dr. Jerry Burton is a 1960 graduate of Baptist Bible College, Springfield, MO. He served for 19 years in various staff positions, including music, youth, Sunday School, and associate in charge of staff management, before becoming pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in November of 1979. He has pursued further education through Baptist Bible College, earning his B. A. in Theology. He holds an M. A. in counseling from Luther Rice Seminary and an M. Div. in Biblical Studies from LRS. He received his PhD in Biblical Studies from Lousiana Baptist University {formerly Baptist Christian University}. Dr. Burton has been an adjunct professor with Moody Bible Institute Evening School in N. E. Ohio since 1981.
Pastor Burton was married to his beloved wife, Jean, for 46 years and they have two children, a daughter and son, and five granddaughters. Jean went home to be with the Lord in the summer of 2005 after a brief battle with cancer.
July 9, 2007, Pastor Burton married missionary Carol Feistel. Carol's husband, Malcom, went home to be with the Lord in the summer of 2006. God in His wisdom and sovereighty saw fit to bring Jerry and Carol together and to allow them to continue ministering together in Rittman. Carol has five children and six grandchildren. Carol's daughter, Sue, went home to be with the Lord in the summer of 2004.

Chris and Hannah Colelli joined the staff of Calvary in June of 2008. Their ministry is to the Junior Hi and Senior Hi teens. They have instituted a Wednesday night worship hour for the teens at 6.45 PM called "On Fire."
