Here is a Message ... just for You!
It should be no mystery to us that God loves us ... but strangely enough, some people do not know it. The Bible tells us this simple truth: "God so loved the world {put your name there} that He gave his only begotten son, that whosoever {put your name there} believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." [John 3.16] God's love for you is not based upon how good you are. Nor is His love for you lessened because of how bad you think you are. The Bible tells us, "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." [Romans 5.8] It would be a tragedy to live your whole life trusting in nothing, or trusting in the wrong thing to take you to heaven.

You can make personal preparation for heaven by acknowledging these simple truths:
  • I am a sinner: "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God" [Romans 5.8]
  • Christ died for sinners: "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." [Romans 5.8]
  • God's gift to me is eternal life found only in Jesus Christ" "for the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." [Romans 6.23]
  • If I ask the Lord, He will save me now: "Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." [Romans 10.13]
  • If you will pray a prayer similar to this, God will save you now: "Dear Lord, I know that I am a sinner. I know that Jesus Christ died to save me from my sins. The best way I know how, I repent of my sins and take Jesus as my Savior right now. And I thank you for saving me today. In Jesus name I pray. Amen."
If you prayed that prayer, I would be honored if you would email me so that I could know. I will send you some literature to help you begin to grow in your Christian life. Email Dr. Jerry Burton at drjburton@bbfi.net.
